Beyond the valve

Diverter damper valves are made as a welded assembly construction and usually made for on/off or modulating gas applications. The installation of this equipment is done between pipeline flanges and a crossing pipeline in a T-shape configuration or special angle according to customer specifications. This design allows the flow to be diverted from the inlet to one of it’s two outlets with a mechanical actuation system with levers. The two discs operate simultaneously and when one is actuated for oppening purposes, the other systematically closes.

Flange drilling can be made according to customer request or PARAVALVES standard. Face to face determines the distance between flanges and this can also be taylor-made to comply with customer project, specially when a 3-way diverter damper design need to be installed, considering every flange position, angle and disc configuration system.

The seat can be done as a swing-through disc without seat or the disc can directly make contact with a metal plate ensuring a maximum leak of 0.5%Kv value. Soft braided sealing option can also be supplied on request, providing a more tightness damper closing. For applications where a full 100% tightening is requested, an air sealing system with double parallel disc design can be made. GDT diverter damper valve can work with temperatures up to 250ºC for the carbon steel option and for temperatures up to 1100ºC if special stainless steel materials are considered for the design.
