Beyond the valve
Guillotine damper valves (also known as knife gate) are made as a welded assembly construction and usually made for on/off gas applications for isolation services. The installation of this equipment is done between pipeline flanges, which flange drilling can be made according to customer specifications or PARAVALVES standard. Face to face determines the distance between flanges and this can also be taylor-made to comply with customer project. Generally these equipments are installed in a vertical stem-line position, but horizontal assemblies are also possible with PARAVALVES dampers. Wafer type or ButtWelding ends can also be supplied on request.
Our engineered guillotine dampers are made to work in both flow directions as a bidirectional design upon request. On open position, the conduit is completely clear and therefore, the pressure loss on the system is very low. The seat can directly make contact with a metal seat plate ensuring a maximum leak of 0.5%Kv value. Soft sealing option can also be supplied on request, providing a more tightness damper seat. Squared or rectangular shape can be manufactured to fit customer special gas conduits. Also rounded flange design can be supplied with flange drilling according to any international standard or customer special request.

Direct handwheel, Gearbox, Electric actuator, Pneumatic or Hydraulic cylinder actuation types are possible with Gasport GG Knife Gate or guillotine damper valves.
