Beyond the valve

Double Gate knife gate valves are specially made for the pulp and paper industry, for pulp outlets or under silo applications. The design allows flow media with high consistency either for normal or reverse flow due to the bi-directional double seat design. The high flow coefficient value of this knife gate valve provides high flow rates with low pressure drops.

At paravalves Dmmond SD Double gate knife gate valves special top gate sealing concept is designed to ensure full tightness to the atmosphere even for gas or high pressure water applications.

Every design is fully hydrostatically tested at our facilities according to API 598, testing body cavity at 1.5 times the design pressure.

Special knife gate system for an optimum performance.

The two-piece construction bolted body retains two knife gates inside. In the open position, both gates are retracted into the body, providing a full bore design. When the gates closes, they push out the charged fluid out of the body and back into the flow. The stroke of this type of valves is reduced to a half, and so operating time is reduced as well.

Ni-Hard wear rings or other special materials are available under request for extreme condition applications, ensuring best performance of the valve at heavy duty applications as well as a longer life for the equipment.
