Beyond the valve

Paravalves Dmmond XR Guided shear knife gate valves are engineered and built to handle extreme working conditions in any media. In addition, our XR Type valves are guided during their entire open-close operation, removing any deflection when solids are
encountered. The main characteristic of the guided shear knife gate valve is that it provides a full continuous flow.

Thanks to the combination of its specially designed shearing tip, when fitting the primary seal zero leakage is enabled. Installation of this equipment is done between pipeline flanges, which flange drilling can be made according to customer specifications or paravalves standard.

Specially designed shearing tip.

Shear any solid, avoid any problems.

The combination of the internal gate guides and the shearing tip removes any option of defection when solids encountered. Any solid hit by the shearing tip is sheared and shifted out, preventing any warping or deflection that could result in atmospheric leakage.

Double seal for zero leakage ensurance.

Designed to avoid atmosferic leakage in every case.

Thanks to the specially performed knife we can ensure a zero-leakage rating when primary
seal meets the knife. The main function of the secondary seal is to avoid any possible atmospheric leakage.
In order to allow this low discharge rate, a precision manufacturing creates a metal-to-metal seat between the gate and the body when closed, providing an extra sealing for the most severe appliacionts.

Zero atmospheric leakage.

At paravalves Dmmond XR special top gate sealing concept is designed to ensure full tightness to the atmosphere even for gas or highpressure water applications. The design allows flow media with high consistency either for normal or reverse flow due to the bi-directional U-shaped seat design.

Every design is fully hydrostatically tested at our facilities according to API 598, testing body cavity at 1.5 times the design pressure.

Non-stop packing maintenance.

Keep your process undisturbed by packing replacement.

Thanks to its injectable packing, leaking issues can be easily solved without stopping any process.

Just one tool is the only thing you need to ensure optimum packing performance. Inject the packing through the packing screws holes, retighten the screws and continue with normal operation.

Working under the most extreme condition Ni-Hard wear rings.

Protect the valve, work in any situation.

Ni-Hard wear rings or other special materials are available under request for extreme condition applications, ensuring best performance of the valve at heavy duty applications as well as a longer life for the equipment.

One design to rule them all.

Direct handwheel, Gearbox, Electric actuator, Pneumatic or Hydraulic cylinder actuation types are possible with Dmmond XR Guided-shear Knife Gate Valves. The design allows actuators to be interchangeable each other even without removing the valve from the pipeline. It most cases, drilled according to ISO 5210 standard.
